You're the manager and you cant refund me at all? What? She assures me she will talk to the district manager to try and get me my refund. What? I asked if there was a manger or anyone higher up she can get to give me my refund. She says she cant refund me cause they are fees. I ask why cant she refund me and we go back and forth and I'm trying to understand why she isn't able to refund me the $150 that was just charged to my card. So I asked to just cancel and get my refund for the activation fees. So at this point we were already in the store for around 2 hours and I was just mentally done with it. And that's not even counting the plan costs or the phone costs I would need to pay monthly from then on there for 2 years. So at this point I'm upset cause she lied to me and also I don't want to pay the deposit because with the deposit, activation fees, taxes, and plan cost I would end up needing to pay around $800 that day. She tried calling T-Mobile support and seeing if I could get my credit limit raised so there would be no deposit with no luck. We were upset because she told us originally there would be no deposit needed. We got to the end of it and it turns out there is a deposit I need to pay which was $400. She took our phone IMEI for the trade ins and we chose which iPhone 14 model/color we wanted to trade in for. I paid around $150 for the activation fees to start and then we started the device trade in info.

She ran my credit and she said I had the highest amount credit or rating so I will be good to go its a $0 deposit. We asked multiple times before we even started signing up there would be a $0 deposit right? There wont be any extra fees or anything? She assured us there was only the $35 activation fee per line, taxes on each phone we would have to pay and of course the plan bill. When I went into the store to do the deal I was working with the manager which I didn't know at the time. For reference I live about 50 minutes away from the store I was at because its close to my parents house and I would be doing this deal with my family members. Update: So I went into the store to get this deal done yesterday and its been a whole fiasco ever since. I understand this is for the "Essentials" plan but we wont mind as we have been on various MVNOS the past few years so it cant be any worse than that. I only saw this in one spot so I am not sure if this is true or not but when I talked to support they didnt say anything about this. I also see their might be a down payment for the phones and taxes for the phones that could cost over $1,000.

I read that if you go into the store in person and trade in the phones you will not have this first payment issue because you are trading in the phones then and there, is that true? Also if we go in store I read that the full trade in value will be taken off the top of the phone along with the credits so the best option is to go into the store to do this deal. I also see the first month the credits will not kick in and we will have to pay full monthly price for the iPhone 14's which again not a big deal. I've done some research and I see their might be a $35 activation fee but that is not really a big deal breaker for me. I understand these trade ins will be in the form of credits over a 24 month period and that's what makes the deal possible for T-Mobile as they lock you into their service for 2 years, but are there any other hidden fees? Has anyone used this deal and is it actually legit? What's the catch? It says they will give $800 credit for an Iphone XR trade in towards the iPhone 14 (which all 4 of us have). r/tmoemployees: The sub for employees onlyĬurrently T-Mobile has a deal "Get 4 iPhone 14 ON US and 4 lines for $25/line".
